He may be scoring for fun, but England hero Jude Bellingham is looking to move into defence.
The Real Madrid superstar’s interest in security follows a series of raids on the homes of Premier League footballers. And he's also trademarked his name against a range of business opportunities including food, booze and clothes.
According to official documents, filed with the UK’s Intellectual Property Office, security is one of the arenas Bellingham is interested in examining. The midfield star – who scored twice against Scotland in the Three Lions’ most recent match – has included a section on his trademark papers that states: “Security services for the physical protection of tangible property and individuals.”
Current Man Utd and Man City players including Victor Lindelof, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard and Joao Cancelo have been targeted by north west burglary gangs. Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and pop star fiancée Perrie Edward were also victims at their Cheshire home.
The Madrid Galactico has also just been granted permission to trademark his name against toiletries like aftershaves and deodorants. He has been given 10-year legal protection to market products using the ‘Jude Bellingham’ name.
