jude Bellingham's mother shade tears as she listened to Bellingham's appreciation words toward her.

There are a lot of people to thank for getting me to this point. Borussia Dortmund, Birmingham City, the people who work there.

‘Also the people who work here, the president and of course my family for all the support and making the deal as easy as possible.’

Bellingham was also asked about his dad Mark having been pictured crying, with the midfielder joking that he might have been sweating rather than being emotional.

‘As for the tears with my father, I don’t know if that was sweat to be fair, he doesn’t often cry so I think you might have caught a bit of sweat drip down his cheek,' he said.

‘I’ll have to watch it back really closely and give him some banter about it.’

Bellingham’s parents joined him on stage as the new Real Madrid star posed for photographs, having played a key role in his rise to sign with the record 14-time European champions.

Dad Mark has served as Bellingham's manager and brokered the deal with Real Madrid for Jude, acting as an intermediary between the Spanish club and Dortmund.

Jude has said that his mum Denise, 54, as the key to his success, calling her a 'queen'.

Denise, as well as Mark, have acted as a grounding force for the midfield star while his early career has rocketed off to the heights of world football.

'The role my mum is playing is massive. I think at the minute it is probably the biggest role of anyone, even probably more than my coaches and managers, to be honest,' he said in December.

In 2020, when Denise moved with Bellingham to Germany, she left behind Mark, who stayed with their other son Jobe, who completed a transfer to Sunderland this week.

Denise also manages Jude's financial affairs and occasionally drove him to training while he was at Borussia Dortmund.

Bellingham had also declared that his father Mark was his first footballing hero,.

The former non-league player scoring 700 goals in around 900 appearances at clubs including Leamington, Stourbridge and Sutton Coldfield Town.

Jude told The Guardian in 2020 how his mother Denise took him to watch his father play: 'It's where I started to get that love for football. I think you can see in the way I play that I've watched the game from a young age.

'That non-league style of toughness and being gritty when you need to be... I do think that comes from watching my dad play – even though he never tackled!'

Mark has now seen his son secure a declared as ‘One of the best players in the world’ by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez.
