Real Madrid Puts $130 Million Price Tag On Star Wanted By Premier League, Reports Mundo Deportivo

Real Madrid has put a $130 million (€120 million) price tag on one of its star players wanted by the PremierPINC League according to Mundo Deportivo, which cited anonymous sources.

The Spanish newspaper reports how several Premier League clubs are attentive to Rodrygo's situation at the Bernabeu, which includes the likes of the two Manchester clubs, Liverpool and Arsenal.

As things stand, the Brazilian is an undisputed starter for Carlo Ancelotti in a 4-4-2 system that finds Rodrygo and fellow compatriot winger Vinicius Jr. operating up front.

But with the goals drying up amid the expected arrival of Kylian Mbappe, Rodyrgo's place in the first XI could be less secure next season as Endrick also crosses the water from their homeland to complete a deal worth over $60 million.

SPORT reported last week that Rodrygo has no intention of moving on this summer. He sees competition from the listed names, plus Brahim Diaz and Joselu, as a positive even if it puts his position under threat.

On Monday, Mundo Deportivo reports that Los Blancos do not intend to get rid of a player who renewed his contract until mid-2028 last year either.

Even so, it adds that "figures are already beginning to appear for which the white club would sell the Brazilian", however

According to the outlet, the sum is $130 million (€120 million), which would be easily affordable for the English outfits mentioned.

Before making any rash decisions on his future, Rodrygo wants to wait and see what happens in 2024/2025 and could end up leaving his employers since 2019 if not satisfied.

What could occur is that Ancelotti reverts to a 4-3-3 that plays Mbappe, Endrick, and Vinicius Jr. in a front three, though the second-mentioned prodigy might be replaced by Jude Bellingham in some fashion, just not as a center forward.

The 4-4-2 the Italian goes for now could still be a thing as well, however, with Rodrygo benched in favour of a front two containing Mbappe and Vinicius while Bellingham remains the advanced attacking midfielder that is currently in line to receive Spain's top scorer award known as the Pichichi.
